Ever since I read Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants in 6th grade (lol) I knew I needed to get to Santorini someday. So when Zach and Marisa contacted me about capturing their intimate wedding in Santorini... I literally could not believe it was really happening! Marisa + Zach are two of the kindest people I have ever met; they truly took Mark and I in as family and included us in all of the wedding events! A really fun part of this wedding is that my brother-in-law went to Physical Therapy school with Zach...and he officiated their wedding! :)

The wedding day started at the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed at. The hotel was carved into the cliffside overlooking the caldera...not a bad way to start your wedding day!! One of my favorite moments of the day was Marisa + Zach's first look: it took place on a rooftop overlooking the caldera, and it was the most beautiful moment I have ever seen. Then Marisa + Zach hopped in the car with Mark and I, and we got to run all around Santorini taking photos at the most beautiful places on the island!! In order to have photos that truly represent Santorini, we wanted to go to Oia but we were concerned about how the crowds would be. This time ended up being SO much fun! Even though it was 100 degrees (Marisa and Zach are champs!) and there was 1000000 people there, we had SO much fun walking through the streets of Oia taking pictures because everyone was cheering and clapping for Marisa and Zach! This is where we got the iconic Santorini shots with the blue-domed pictures in the background!

I had spent the two days before the wedding location scouting by ATV (best experience EVER), so I knew the abandoned church I wanted to take Marisa and Zach to where we could get some really beautiful rooftop shots. These are some of my favorite photos, and it was so fun to just soak in the beauty of Santorini while capturing their love! After all of the photos, we headed to their venue where their ceremony took place with the sunset as their backdrop (I was dead...literally the most beautiful venue I could ever imagine). They started their marriage on the cliffs overlooking the Santorini sunset surrounded by the people closest to honestly was surreal! After their ceremony, we headed to a restaurant in Oia to have an intimate dinner + ended the night watching the city lights glimmer over the Mediterranean Sea.

Marisa + Zach, thank you for inviting us across the world to capture the start of your marriage in the most beautiful place I could ever imagine. Thank you for taking us in as family, + for being down to adventure around on your wedding day, even if it meant getting sweaty ;)
